Sigh. An accurate sense of when an object is too heavy/awkward for one to bring up two flights of stairs without doing oneself an injury is really quite valuable. Back strain is going to result in my moving sort of gingerly for awhile. Funny thing is that I was taking the cart upstairs so that I'd have something solid to attach my monitor arm to by my bed so as to avoid neck strain.

:-/ So, did the back strain kick in before or after the cart made it upstairs? I'm wondering if this means you'll be avoiding the neck strain or not. Either way, I hope the back strain passes quickly.

I got a twinge about three quarters of the way up the first flight. It didn't really start to hurt until about an hour afterwards, then peaked some hours later. Not knowing that was going to happen, having tugged the cart that far I didn't want to let it roll it back down, so I rested for a bit an d switched to pushing. it's currently residing on the ground floor until such time as I can get some help to get it the rest of the way up.

The back is doing somewhat better at the moment. We'll see how it goes. I hope that your cramps have eased too.
